Steak 'n Shake is one of my favorite places to eat, amazing burgers and a nice selection of delicious milkshakes to choose from at reasonable prices. However, often times when I get my meal, I find that the elephant in the room (or the bag in this case) are their thin 'n crispy french fries. There is nothing wrong with the way they taste and I can definitely imagine there being a vast population of people who prefer this type of fry over any other. But compared to other fast food places, I find that Steak 'n Shake's fries lack impact on the meal, being overshadowed by the burger and shake. Again, I'm sure there are many people who enjoy the thin 'n crispy fries and may find my views absurd, but for me and many other people I've had steak 'n shake with, a new style of french fry should be added to the menu. Whether it be traditional shoestring, waffle, steak, or curly fry, I feel like the steak 'n shake eating experience would be more complete if they added a thicker, more potato-y style of french fry to their selection to accommodate people such as myself whose choice in burger places is largely affected by the fries.
