Lebo Masinga was physically assaulted and sexually harassed by a final year medical student at Stellenbosch University. Campus security was called but failed to do anything. 

Lebo opened a case and statements were taking from her and other witnesses. However, the perpetrator was not arrested. The perpetrator has currently been moved to private accommodation. A permit was issued for him to go home and ,therefore, leave the province.

The university offered no medical or psychological help to Lebo. So far Lebo has not received any justice and her abuser has not faced any consequences and is free to roam around an potentially hurt others. 

We call on the University and the police force to take action by arresting and expelling the perpetrator. The saps is doing little to fight against GBV and keep women safe. Immediate action must take place.
