Santa Rosa County, Henry Homes and City of Gulf Breeze sewer problems in Heathers Place

The Issue

Santa Rosa County, Gulf Breeze sewer system and Henry Homes have a responsibility to ensure functional utilities for the residents of Heathers Place Subdivision. Currently, there are pressing concerns about the subdivision's sewer system and grinder pump/lift station issues that have placed an undue burden on homeowners. Despite being an essential service, this frequent failure of basic infrastructure is not only an inconvenience but also a risk to public health. Homeowners have spent thousands of dollars trying to resolve a problem that was not of their making due to a lack of response from the County of Santa Rosa, Gulf Breeze Sewer System or Henry Homes.

Problems associated with improper sewage management, such as environmental pollution and disease outbreaks, can have severe consequences for communities. According to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, outdated and malfunctioning sewer systems are a pervasive issue that impacts thousands of homeowners across the country. Not addressing these issues in a timely manner can lead to serious health and sanitation issues.

It is critical for Santa Rosa County, Gulf Breeze Sewer System and Henry Homes to collaborate and develop a permanent and efficient solution. Homeowners deserve a solution ensuring that the sewer system operates efficiently and effectively. This won't just benefit Gulf Breeze but could serve as an example to other communities facing similar issues.  The City of Gulf Breeze has acknowledged that Henry Homes installed grinder pumps that did not meet the city's sewer system requirements.  Santa Rosa County passed inspection and is continuing to issue building permits for a builder failing to install the correct equipment.  The city has also acknowledged they did not inspect the pumps to ensure that Henry Homes was following those requirements.  This is a failure of our city officials and the builder.

We urge all concerned parties to lobby for the rights and concerns of Heathers Place Subdivision residents. Public service should be effective, reliable, and cater to the public's needs. We cannot allow residents to continue bearing the burden of systemic inefficiencies. Sign this petition to mandate collaboration between Santa Rosa County,  Gulf Breeze Sewer System and Henry Homes to find a permanent resolution to these sewer system and grinder pump issues at no expense to the homeowners and that those homeowners that have spent thousands to try to correct the problem in their own homes are reimbursed for there expenses.
