Dress code needs to be fixed. It is unfair. Girls cannot wear certain things because they are “distracting” boys? Why should we have to sacrifice for something we aren’t doing?! They look. Not us. Why are we being punished for it? We need change!!!

Here are the current rules: Skirts, shorts, and dresses must be near knee length (3 or 5 inches). Can’t be showing bra strap. Can’t wear tank tops or show shoulders. No tops/shirts can be tucked in. Sleeve length has to be no less than 3 inches. 

What I think it should be: Shorts: 9 1/2 inches above the knee. Dresses: 3 in above knee. Skirts: 5 inches above knee. Yes bra straps, but no showing bra. Yes tank tops, but no spaghetti straps. Yes, we should be able to tuck in tank tops. Sleeve length: 1 inch. 

I believe we should be able to wear normal shorts to school. Also, ripped jeans. We should be able to wear normal clothes. Or..are my knees distracting you? We shouldn’t have to cover our legs or shoulders because they are distracting someone else. We should be able to show our shoulders and wear tank tops and show bra straps. Oh, I forgot, those are distracting too. We need to change this! We would be able to wear more! So help me! Sign the petition! :)
