In light of the recent health inspection reports, we parents are concerned about the safety of our students and urge the school to reevaluate not only their current methods of food preparation, but also the food policy as a whole. 
Our students deserve hygienically prepared food that won't put them at risk of issues like food poisoning that has recently become a concern within the school community with numerous students falling sick and missing out on valuable class time. 
Currently, the school has a policy that forbids students from bringing their own food from home, forcing them to pay a lunch and snacks fee, and won't allow them to opt out of the meal plan. Many students and parents have complained about the taste and quality of food being served and upon surveying, majority of students said they would much rather bring food from home. Many starve the whole day and only eat at home because the food makes them feel sick.
We believe our demands are reasonable, we shouldn't have to pay for food that most students don't end up eating, and we want the students who do continue to opt for school food to be eating healthy, hygienic, and good food that they enjoy.
