Venetia Valley PTA President started this petition to San Rafael City School District

Juan Rodriguez was informed that he will no longer be our school Principal next school year. The San Rafael City School District Superintendent has made this decision with no explanation or reason as to why they made this decision.

Juan has been the Principal at Venetia Valley and Bahia Vista Schools for 20 years. He has a measurable track record for unifying communities, shared objectives in helping and supporting students and parents, building partnerships and, collaborating with key partners to sustain all the work we do for our children.

For years, Juan has done a remarkable job as our school leader and has represented our community in every place he shows up. He is a genuine leader who truly cares, respects, advocates and empowers endlessly our community, parents, and children.

We are currently facing a very challenging next several weeks /months during this time of transition. Such unfortunate top-down decision will not only affect our staff, but also parents and children in our community. We can no longer accept decision made by a group of uninformed people who have no consideration of the needs of our most vulnerable communities. Enough is Enough!!!

There are many ways to show your support for Juan!
