Anna Mahoney started this petition to San Mateo County Community College District

Students & Staff of San Mateo County Community College District need your help to highlight the need for funded Adobe Creative Cloud accounts for all.

  • Not every student has equal access to technology
  • Not every student has the ability to print.
  • Not every student has the ability to edit and easily access PDF documents for classes

On Wednesday, September 23rd, the SMCCCD decided to continue remote learning for the rest of the school year.  This creates a great need for all students & staff to be better equipped for this learning environment.  It will be beneficial to them for the entire year and beyond.

Why Adobe Creative Cloud?

  • Versatility- Adobe Creative Cloud offers 23 sophisticated software apps for photography, 3D modeling, design/illustration, PDF, video, audio, web design animation and more:  Adobe Creative Cloud Apps
  • Enriching- Aids in more interactive and enriching opportunities for many classes such as music, film, graphic design, photography, art and engineering. Also it allows staff and faculty unlimited creativity to create a more diverse curriculum
  • Practicality- Students will gain real world experience with programs commonly used in the 21st century workplace.
  • Efficiency- With Adobe Pro, homework assignments can be filled out directly on PDF and/or converted to word documents making forms simple, effective, and time efficient.
  • Environmentally friendly- Less printing needed as things can be done completely digitally
  • Adobe Creative Cloud is currently discounted at over 60% off for students

Funding Adobe Creative Cloud would be a small cost for the district relative to the positive impact on the SMCCCD students and staff.  Help us be sure that equal access to technology is not one the numerous barriers and stressors students and staff are already faced with in our current situation.
