Auzerais Avenue Traffic Calming Project

Hello neighbors!

The Auzerais Avenue Traffic Calming Project, in San Jose, California, aims to create social change on a local level by advocating for traffic calming measures in our neighborhood. We are a team of graduate students in San Jose State University's Master of Social Work program, and we are collaborating with the community in order to realize the goal of creating a safer street for our children, families, and all members of our community.

Our cause is safety on our streets, and unfortunately, we have a problem with speeding drivers on Auzerais Avenue that must be addressed before somebody is hurt. Research suggests that traffic calming techniques can be effective in decreasing instances of speeding thereby helping us in our cause to bolster safe streets.
