Every time I see someone use prong collars on their dog, I'm filled with rage. To believe prong collar isn't hurting your dog is both ignorant and uneducated. We would never consider using such things on humans, but then how come we expose our beloved dogs to this treatment?

Not only is prong collars painful and fearful, but it also doesn't do what dog owners might think it does. If the goal is to TEACH the dog to stop an undesired behavior, this is a short-term solution. Every behavior can be learned using positive reinforcement, so let's move on from this non-evidence-training and pain-induced training to more humane options. 

Many countries including New Zealand, Austria, Australia, Switzerland, and the Canadian Province of Quebec, have taken a stance against the use of prong collars by making them illegal. However, the US still hasn't banned anything. It's time for us to join! Let's make a change by raising awareness of this issue! Sign this petition and we are one step closer to our goal.
