Today Boomers don't know how to use phones so I am proposing a new boomer mode on phones to help the boomers use them easier. When you buy a new phone it will ask for your age. If the specified age is within the range of a baby boomer the phone will go into "boomer mode." In boomer mode the phone will be controlled by a stick shift. You can connect to any nearby stick shift using the brand new stick shift detector, this new software will wirelessly detect and connect to any nearby stick shifts allowing your phone to be controlled by it. If the phone detects that the user has been on their phone for more than one hour the phone will shut off and display a message that says "Don't be like those dumb millennials go outside." If the user attempts to send a text message to a person that is within a five mile radius the phone will not send the message and it will will display a message that says "Don't be like those dumb millennials just go and talk to them." Also the phone is not able to send emojis. If the phone detects a joke or a meme on the screen the phone will automatically replace it with something about how millennials are stupid and boomers are better. Also you will not be able to download any apps other than facebook and fox news. If the phone is broken you cannot take it in to get repaired instead you will have to fix it yourself because"That's how we did it back in my day." Also the phone will only allow calls from someone in your immediate family to prevent any scam calls. Also you will not get notifications for texts you will only get notifications for emails and faxes. Speaking of faxes if connect your phone to a fax machine someone can send you a document or a picture and instead of displaying it on screen it will automatically be faxed to you instead if displaying it on your phone. Also if the phone detects you are trying to watch a video it will instead display a message saying "Go read a book" and then the video will be converted to book by sending to boomer headquarters where we will convert it to a book and send it back to you.
