National MP Sam Uffindell has admitted he was a bully in High School.

This came to a climax when he was in 5th Form (Year 11) when he and 3 other boys assaulted a 3rd form student who was asleep in his dorm.

Sam admits this was horrible behaviour from him and he was consequently expelled for his actions.

22 years later he is officially the MP for Tauranga and some people are really unhappy. So much so there is a petition calling for his resignation.

I don't believe someone should be forced out of their job for the actions they committed as a juvenile and we're subsequently punished for and as such I hope you'll join me by signing this Petition to show that New Zealanders do in fact believe people can learn their past misdeeds and do good for their community and nation.
