Our Sierra Vista Salvation Army has been slated to close by the end of September. They are trying to “streamline” the operations in Arizona. This involves Phoenix, Tucson, and Sierra vista.  Of the above listed cities Sierra Vista will be impacted the most. Many of our community members rely on the affordable clothes, furniture, and household goods our local SA store provides.  

Not only will our community members who rely on this store suffer, but the wonderful employees who work there will also be out of a job, some of whom have  disabilities  and have found a working environment to thrive in. 

I also want Salvation Army to consider all the goods and monetary donations they will lose from this community as it is logistically impossible for most people to travel to Tucson to donate their goods, or shop at the Tucson Salvation Army as it is 80 miles away from us. 

Whether you shop/donate at our local Salvation Army I urge you to sign this petition!  You’d be helping so many of our local citizens who rely on this store in times of need. It would be a shame to lose it.
