If Salem prides themselves on encouraging their students to be responsible; they should then, therefore, allow students to the opportunity to prove themselves responsible.

If Salem encourages their students to peacefully protest and to stand strong for what they view is right; they should, therefore, listen to the petition and presentation of the students' opinions with open minded respect.

Not having all of the benefits of in-person learning is damaging our daughters' collegiate resumes and is compromising their knowledge of the fields in which they hope to work one day. Our daughters are NOT receiving the education they sought when they chose Salem College. 

As parents, we stand to open the college to students. Minimally, we demand having the option to choose whether our daughters are on campus or not.
