As per an interview in The Defender published earlier this morning, The Office of the Registrar has indicated that there are no plans to reimplement pass/no pass grading or any similar accommodation for students this semester.

The consequences of this are disastrous. Given that we are are in the midst of a global disaster, almost all students are struggling. For many, the future (and present) is unsafe and uncertain, and with Covid actively spreading on campus, worry is warranted from all. Students cannot be expected to perform regularly during these conditions.

Attempting to implement normal grading during a worldwide crisis only serves to penalize the most vulnerable among us.

We ask that Saint Michael's College Reimplement optional Pass/No Pass Grading the semester.
