Why this petition matters

Started by Megan Geiler

Saint Mary's College recently announced the addition of courses available over the new "winter term." The course that gaged the most interest among students was Death and Suffering which fulfills the Sophia Program's LO1: Religious Traditions II requirement. This course only had 25 available spots and quickly filled during senior registration. The filling of this course has left many women at Saint Mary's struggling to adjust their schedule to fit another course. For some students, this winter course was the only way to take a full course load of the Sophia requirements and major requirements they still have left due to extreme scheduling conflicts. These students are worried they will not be able to afford to come to Saint Mary's in the spring if they cannot take a full course load with the requirements they need. It would greatly benefit the people who sign this petition to add another LO1: Religious Traditions II course to the winter term either through Saint Mary's or consortium.

Please ONLY sign this petition if you were planning on taking the Religious Traditions II course over break but were not able to get into it.
