I would like some hazard pay to be awarded to workers in food shops that will presumably remain open even in lockdown. 

I work in a Sainsbury’s Local store, there's no prospect (however restricted to working at home, or not working at all other businesses and professions may get) of this store stopping operations.

My mother has diabetes and my father is old, every day I come home to them I could be transmitting the covid-19 virus to them from the many, many customers continuing to shop.

This is not to mention the workers who will suffer the virus caught from customers themselves.

Simply, working in a grocery food shop has become much more dangerous for us and our loved ones, but if we want to keep our communities fed we cannot stop. I would like some respect for this.
