The heavily trafficked and dangerous intersection of 17 and Beehive Road in Mount Pleasant, SC resulted in a fatality in Jan 2021.  Numerous dangerous accidents have occurred  at the six-way intersection traffic rules are frequently ignored, putting individuals, families and children at great risk.  Past requests to install a traffic light have been dismissed but with the newly opened gas station traffic has increased exponentially, resulting in numerous accidents. We request that the City of Mount Pleasant  and the South Carolina Department of Transportation install a traffic light ASAP.
