Safeguard the Families of Afghan Interpreters Serving US Special Forces

Safeguard the Families of Afghan Interpreters Serving US Special Forces
The Issue
Parwiz Sakhizada has shown his commitment and bravery as an interpreter for the USA Green Beret/ODA/Special Forces in Afghanistan, even being wounded multiple times in missions. Like many others, he made a substantial contribution to the efforts of the U.S forces. Yet, his family who are left behind in the war-torn nation face ongoing risk. Owing to financial or logistical constraints, many servicemen like Sakhizada have not been able to evacuate their families. The safety of those families is under constant threat and as injustice can be compounded, it is legal to ensure that these families receive the opportunity to escape the escalating crises. Hence, we call for policy revisions, to acknowledge the sacrifices made by interpreters like Parwiz Sakhizada and their families. We believe it's our duty to protect those who risk their lives for the welfare of our nation. Sign this petition to safeguard the families of Afghan interpreters who can't escape danger alone and advocate for their safe evacuation.
