Our family faced significant challenges over the past few years. Despite these difficulties, my two oldest children have absolutely thrived in the exceptional public school dynamic offered by Pennsylvania's cyber charter schools. These schools have provided not just a stable learning environment but also a platform for them to overcome hurdles related to autism, bullying, financial hardship, single parenting and the struggles of frequently moving homes. Without the support and resources from our Pennsylvania cyber charter school, I genuinely don't know what we would have done.

Pennsylvania cyber charter schools are a beacon of hope and opportunity for numerous families across the Commonwealth, offering unique and flexible educational models that cater specifically to the needs and circumstances of their students. These public cyber charter schools stand as a testament to educational innovation and inclusivity, serving a diverse student body and often stepping in when traditional school settings cannot fully meet every student's needs.

However, we are at a critical juncture. Recent policy changes have significantly cut funding and affected the operational standards of these essential schools! There is a fear that legislative changes which were recently signed into the PA budget might undermine the ability of cyber charter schools in Pennsylvania to deliver the exceptional education that our children deserve. Such changes have imposed funding cuts that will limit the resources and autonomy that allows these schools to innovate and adapt to the needs of their students.

It's crucial that we act now to advocate for the preservation of cyber charter schools in Pennsylvania. We must urge state lawmakers and education policymakers to recognize the indispensable role these schools play within our education system and ensure they continue receiving the support they need to thrive.

It's not too late!

By maintaining robust funding, supporting autonomy, and fostering an environment of educational choice, we can ensure that cyber charter schools remain a viable and thriving option for all families. Let's come together to defend the right to choose a public charter school, cyber or otherwise. Together, let's ensure that every child in Pennsylvania has access to an excellent education which meets their specific needs while maintaining and even exceeding the standards set forth by the state.
