Residents and young children constantly crossing the busy junction between Hale Road and The Mount are facing enormous challenges after our lollipop lady has been absent since early this year.   Parents and school children from Elmridge Primary School and St. Ambrose College are among the most affected group.

Cars reaching and leaving for M56 are driving at ridiculous speed through the junction let alone the sharp bend near Hale Barns Garage that road users can't really see clearly when they cross.  There is zero assistance to road users currently.  Numerous near-misses have been reckon on a day-to-day basis, and we can foresee precious lives being taken is just a matter of time.

We urge the council to consider permanent measures to help the community and the young school children including:

• Zebra Crossing (permanent)
• Speed limit reduced to 20mph and/or Speed bumps / cameras / road chippings / signs
• School Road Signs and/or Children Crossing Signs
• SLOW Road Markings

Hale Barns has an excellent community.  Our roads need to be SAFE for everyone here.
