The A10 has and continues to be used for dangerous purposes that are putting our lives and the lives of others in grave danger. Racing at excessive speeds on a 40mph zone is one thing and one thing only, DANGEROUS. 

Our roads need safety measures that will prevent such speed and thus protect the drivers. We need speed cameras between Turkey Street A10/ Hoe Lane A10 and further down by Carterhatch Lane. residents have constantly complained and the government/council has done nothing to actually make a difference to this long stretch of road that is causing such a distruption to our communities. Racing does not only risk your life, but all nearby, not to mention the families of the victims of fatal collisions here, a  split second is all it takes for you to lose control and once control has been lost the damage is unpredictable.

Please help me, help young people!

THINK. Think twice before using high speed for racing down this road. We all know Speed cameras make a world of difference, they Instantly grab the drivers attention wether through sight or word of mouth, new speed cameras means drivers will drive with care. It is more than likely to make a huge difference to the horrific number of  fatal and non fatal collisions in the Enfield area as well as help reduce the constant roar of the cars that is heard when groups of people gather to race. t

I propose that those whom incite and aid dangerous driving are given tougher punishments as too often motorists, especially young drivers are being encouraged to drive dangerously. I ask that this becomes a more recognised offence that see’s motorist have their licenses revoked immediately for 6 months. Unless people know there are consequences to encouraging others to drive dangerously it will never stop. 

Help me get enough notice to make a difference. Help your friend, your family and those who push the limits and just won’t listen to you saying “speeding is dangerous.” Because to everyone that means absolutely nothing, everyone thinks “I’m a good driver, it won’t happen to me.” It can, and eventually it will if you do not take great care. 

We need speed cameras back! Every death is worth preventing. Every life is worth protecting. The A10 is greatly misused for one simple reason...It can be! Nothing is there to stop you from exceeding the limits. I am tired of hearing about budgets for this and budgets for that. Use OUR money to make sure our roads are safe.

These roads are taking lives and waiting for operation zero vision to take effect by 2040 (21 Years) is just not worth the lives that will be lost till then. The A10 is a death trap. Please drive carefully. (Which I know no one will until something makes them.)
