As an East Sacramento resident, Officer Tara O’Sullivan attended California State University Sacramento (CSUS). She earned a degree in Child Development and graduated in the inaugural groundbreaking class of CSUS’ Law Enforcement Candidate Scholars program.  Officer O’Sullivan began her career with the Sacramento Police Department in January of 2018 as a Community Service Officer. Officer O’Sullivan entered the Sacramento Police Academy and graduated in December 2018.

On June 19, 2019, Officer Tara O’Sullivan answered a call to keep the peace in a domestic violence incident.  Officer O’Sullivan was ambushed, gunned down and killed in the line of duty in North Sacramento. Officer Tara O’Sullivan was 26 years old.

Please join our effort to name the Fair Oaks Blvd/H Street Bridge in honor of slain Sacramento Police Officer Tara Christina O’Sullivan.  We are collecting names of those who endorse this worthy memorial project to present to the Sacramento Mayor and City Council.
