Skelly Field is one of the last green spaces that can be used for recreational acitivity on the Rutgers Campus. It also provides uses for the greater New Brunswick community, like soccer games and children's sports. Building a parking lot on this green field does not support sustainable city planning, community interest, nor does it promote the value of green space. Parking lots are not going to help community bonding, environmental awareness or aesthetic pleasure for Rutgers University. There are other parking areas on campus, and alternative plans are being drafted to satisfy parking needs. If you do not support building a parking lot in the designated area on Cook Campus, then sign this petition to save Skelly Field!
