We, the students, are officially requesting to postpone the Topic A Space Science Quiz to Thursday November 5th. This is for a multitude of reasons, but we will be focusing on the following: 

We have not had enough time to properly prepare
The United States election is taking place the day before

Let’s start talking about the first reason. Today, November 3rd, we received the last lesson in this topic. Having one day before the quiz to review (arguably) the hardest section does not seem fair to us, especially as this material is brand new.

Secondly, the United States Presidential Election is taking place today, November 3rd. This is the day before the quiz when most people focus on memorization as opposed to understanding. Due to the election, we are finding it difficult to focus on learning about the solar system when history chapters are being written. I’m sure you, the teachers, can understand the struggle of being forced to mark assessments when critical real life events are happening. Many people have said this election may be the most crucial in our lifetime. Do you really want us to miss out on it just because of a science quiz that can easily be pushed back one day?

For the above reasons, we stipulate the Topic A Space Quiz should be postponed until at least Thursday November 5th. We thank you for your consideration.
