First a MASSIVE thank you to ALL who have supported our petition which went from 1000 or 32,500 in under a day. From Irene and all her family we just want to say a BIG thanks from the bottom of our hearts. We have a government petition also up and running which would be great if you could ALL sign It, which allows us to present our case in person to the government for debate in Parliament if we exceed 120,000 but if we get 10,000 then it will be discussed by MP's at a sitting. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/119736 We have a FB (Save Irene) page where you can see BBC'sotries and updated news paper clippings where we have had major help from the media and still goes unnoticed by those who can make a decision to save our mother, granny and friend to many. Visit and like it for us, as well as putting a comment, as it does lift our spirits at a time we are down. Today we received this reply back from Thersea May's office, despite all the media coverage: Dated the 26th of April 2016. Dear Mrs Nel Thank you for your letter dated the 11th of March to the Home Secretery about your immigration case. Your enquiry has been forwarded to customer services operations to reply. Please be advised that the Home Secretery does not intervene or comment on individual cases. On the 15 February we replied to Charlotte Lesie MP's (our local MP) letter to the Home Secertary on your behalf and a copy of that letter is enclosed for your information (No letter was attached) We have considered whether there were exceptions or compassionate circumstances to grant you LTR (leave to remain) in the UK. However it was decided that you did not meet the requirement for a grant of limited or Discreationary Leave. As you do not have any valid leave you should make arrangements to depart the UK. You can obtain help and advice about returning home voluntarily from the Home Office Voluntary Departures team, who can be contacted by: telephone or email (info given) Further information on the voluntary departure service can be found on our website at (address given) Yours sincerely Treat Offcial Team Customer Service Operations if you really want to send a mail directly to Theresa May please feel free to do so at: mayt@parliament.uk
