Petition updateThe government to put aside immigration law and use compassion for a dying motherReply from the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street

I sent a personal ple directly to Mr Cameron on the 11th of March 2016, along with a copy of my mother in laws plea directly to Theresa May and on Saturday got this reply back from 10 Downing Street:
Thank you for your letter dated of 11 March to the Prime Minister about your mother-in-law, Ms Irene Johanna Catherina Nel's immigration matter. Your enquiry has been forwarded to Customer Service Operations to reply. We are sorry for the delay in replying.
We understand you are requesting that Ms Nel be allowed to remain in the UK with her family. However, in order to safeguard an individual's personal information and comply with the data protection act 1998 we are limited in what information we can provide when the request is made by someone who is not the applicant. We are therefore unable to provide you with information about M's Nel. (This amazes me, as the request from me was a direct plea to Mr Cameron in allowing my mother-in-law to remain with her family and all the information they refer too, was issued by myself in my direct plea!!!)
We would strongly recommend that you speak to an independent immigration adviser in order to get specific information about the Immigration Rules in Ms Nel's particular circumstances and to understand the option available to her. In the UK, the office of the Immigration Services Commisioner (OISC) regulates immigration advisers. The OISC website www.gov.uk/find-an-immigration-adviser provides a list of immigration advisers. You can also get advice from legal qualified professionals that are regulated by designated professional bodies.
We hope this information is helpful.
Yours sincerely

We would like to hear about your experience and invite you to spend a few moments completing this customer satisfaction survey: http://www.homeofficesurveys.homeoffice.gov.uk/s108105TAZNG.
And that is the end of my response from number 10 Downing Street, nothing we already don't know but again just another tactic in passing the baton onto others, when we have been through the process, with no action, hence a plea direct to People who can make a decision for us based on family values linked with compassion but just passed through the system yet again.
To all who have supported us and continue to fight with us a BIG thanks from the family and we will keep you ALL updated as we get information.
