Keep building site hours reasonable during the CV19 lock-down

The Issue

In populated areas, where residents are currently confined for long periods in small flats with no gardens, the noise from the construction sites that have continued to work during the lock-down is already impacting on people’s mental health.

We know that the economy is struggling, and we understand the pressures but please could we urge you not to make a blanket ruling to allow construction hours to be extended? Please would you, at the very least, leave it to the discretion of local authorities to decide whether or not to approve an extension so they can take into account any impact on local residents and businesses?
