9/11 Changed the world. The attacks of 9/11 are responsible for not only the 3000 lives in the towers, of which almost 428 are believed to have been British Citizens, but approximately half a million innocent deaths around the world, and numbers continue to this day. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are a direct result of the attacks of 9/11.

The accepted wisdom amongst most governments, politicians and the general public is that Osama Bin Laden and his organization Al Qaida was responsible for this act, however to date no clear proof has been provided. The so called mastermind, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, of the attacks is being tried behind closed doors, and when waterboarding an alleged suspect he is likely to agree to anything put to him. Osama Bin Laden himself, who could have been tried publicly after being found was shot to ensure that his version of events was never heard.

Given the impact of the 9/11 attacks on the world we live in today, it is remarkable that a full open independent investigation has not already been undertaken and completed. It is generally accepted that the 9/11 Commission, the only official  investigation did not fully investigate the attacks and some key evidence was omitted, and key questions were not answered, not to mention it was an investigation run by the US government for the US government, and not surprisingly the results of that investigation was to rubber stamp the official government story.

We urge the British Government to launch an official independent investigation into the 9/11 attacks for the sake of the 428 British Citizens who died that day in the towers, and consequently the 179  British soldiers who died Iraq and 453 soldiers who died in Afghanistan as a direct consequence of the 9/11 attacks, not to mention the thousands of British soldiers that have been irrevocably injured.

We ask all concerned British Citizens to sign this petition and force the British Government to open an official independent and open investigation in to 9/11.
