🛑RSPCA Vic must act now!! URGENT🛑

The issue

Dear all horsey friends, concerned community members and neighbours

We act as a small group of horse lovers with knowledge and experience, of our extreme concern over RSPCA's inability or refusal to act to save approximately 30 horses, mostly mares, foals and colts in the Mickleham and Macedon Shires across at least 6 different sites that we are aware of.

Numerous days this week of over 30 Degrees have seen these horses without water, resulting in the local CFA being called in to fill the troughs, as well as concerned local horsey community members who have taken water tanks on trailers to fill these horses waters so they don't die from dehydration.

Locals are also monitoring the daily feeding routine, and can attest that the only food being fed, is stale mouldy bread, the feeding of this resulted in one foal being found down for 2 and half hours. One local person thought she was dead because another poor horse, one of her paddock mates,  was found dead 3 weeks ago.

Multiple reports to the RSPCA, council rangers, police and other bodies have been submitted. The owners of the horses have had ongoing issues with animal neglect for nearly 10 years, with many horses dying when RSPCA got involved around 8 years ago. There is a continual ongoing history and it's astounding that RSPCA are not monitoring this situation closely. They state they are 'monitoring daily', but many locals who live close by, have not seen any inspectors at any of the the sites where these horses are kept, and the situation is currently being left to concerned residents to water and feed these poor horses.

We are absolutely concerned that some of these horses will die as the last poor horse, waiting for action!

RSPCA must act now to remove and re-home these animals before it's too late
