Just to bring you up to date with regard to my last update.
I have not yet received any response from the Minister for Local Government. Below an email sent to All Councillors at Cowra Shire Council, to which they have not responded.
Since my last update have been on tour. In South Australia the Councils are proposing increasing fines for property owners who do not keep their properties safe and tidy. What a difference to Cowra Council who just ignore the problem, or try and whitewash the situation.
The dust and smoke was not being kind to our health. We had the option of leaving, but that poor solitary cat has none, because all who have the ability to act and save it seem not to want to do so.
Regards Keith.
To All Cowra Shire Councillors. (council@cowra.nsw.gov.au)
Dear Councillors, I write regarding an email I have recently sent to the Minister for Local Government (copy of which is attached).I now appeal to you all to help safeguard the health and safety of all the residents in the Shire.
The ongoing risks associated with the storage of refuge at 230 Conimbla Road and in particular the flammable substances are putting our lives at risk
I also ask if you approve of the Council ignoring its obligations to act to enforce the law with regard to POCTA at said address?
Council’s continued indifference to the risks (in my opinion) demonstrates poor local governance and poor administrative practices.
I thank you in anticipation of your full and frank consideration of the matters I have brought to your attention and look forward to your observations
Sincerely, Keith Climpson.
