In the last post it was mentioned that Cowra Council had been less than attentive in inspecting Camp Kitty. Amazingly the day after posting three persons arrived to inspect the premises. It is the time to now let readers know of the Council’s role in the whole Camp Kitty mess, and how more affirmative action would have prevented all the suffering that has taken place. Today’s photo shows a rubbish bin that has not been emptied in over 20 months! Yes, 20 months that is not a typo. This bin contains cat excreta, fouled linen, food cans (unwashed) and possibly cat corpses. How many times in that 20 months have the Council inspected the premises for environmental hazards, for the empty unwashed food tins left lying around and for the other bags of rubbish scattered all over the premises? This is the Councils responsibility, and the RSPCA has no authority to enforce environmental controls. Many of my previous update photos show this unbelievably poor environmental situation. Can any readers find out why the Council has allowed Camp Kitty to exist when such appalling environmental situations have existed for so many years? Their contact details are – Tel 02 6340 2000 and email council@cowra.nsw.gov.au Thanks for your help. ps a reader suggested in my last update that I should contact Animals Australia. They were notified a long time ago and information can been seen on their website Animals Australia Unleashed.
