RS Rewards: Are ineligible customers in NSW, SA, NT and ACT still being sold to?

The issue

Are you an RS Rewards member in NSW, SA, NT or the ACT?

You may be owed a refund. Sign to demand an investigation.

RS Rewards' own terms and conditions state, word for word:

"Residents of South Australia, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and Northern Territory are not eligible to enter or win prizes due to regulatory restrictions."
Yet members in these four states and territories are still advertised to, signed up, and charged ongoing fees — for a chance to win prizes their own terms say you can never win.

This exclusion appears only in the fine print of their terms. It is not stated in their ads, on their sign-up pages, or at checkout — so most members never see it before they pay.

If you're a paying member in one of these states or territories, you may be entitled to a full refund.

We're calling on consumer protection regulators to investigate:

Whether members were clearly told before paying that they couldn't win
Whether ads kept running in states where customers are ineligible
Whether refunds are owed to everyone charged while ineligible
