Why this petition matters

Started by Life in Kilburn

The service out of Kilburn's delivery office has been shambolic since the beginning of September, after the management decided to change delivery routes. This lead to the resignation of 7 postmen within a week. Since then, most addresses in NW6 have not received a daily delivery of mail. Sometimes mail is delivered less than once a week. Important documents have arrived to recipients after the deadline for action, ie medical appointment letters arriving after the date of the appointment, legal letters arriving after the date for action.

The delivery office have "employed" temporary staff that leave after a few shifts because the workload is not achievable. Letters as a result have been delivered to the wrong addresses.

While every business will go through change and disruption, the disruption at the Kilburn Delivery Office has been going on since the beginning of September and this needs to stop.

We thus demand the following:

1.  Royal Mail to take immediate action to return to a sustainable daily delivery service to all NW6 addresses from the Kilburn delivery Office by 2nd January 2022 at the latest.

2. publication of service levels out of Kilburn's Delivery office for September, October and November.

3. Customer complaints are answered fully and honestly. The answers to complaints is generic and invokes the impact of the Coronavirus, when in the case of Kilburn's Delivery office, Corona Virus cannot explain more than 3 months of service failure.

NW6 residents and businesses deserve a better service from Royal Mail.
