Being a difficult time for just about everybody, students are also experiencing several changes and adjustments. University students are facing loads of uncertainty with what they will deal with next and what will result from this ongoing nightmare. A majority of us students have lost jobs, have financially struggling families, and/or are having difficulty coping with the situation, just trying to stay afloat. Communities uniting and fighting as one brings such pleasure to those around, however unfortunately there are still those who seek profit by taking the last of what people have. 

While many landlords are excusing rents or making them financially manageable, student apartment complexes including "The Vic" in Greensboro, NC are charging students full cost, coming to over 600 dollars with utility bills. Even though hundreds have reached out to them for assistance, they refuse to lower the rent. After experiencing the actions of those who act careless towards students and the community in general, this petition is for students to receive the help needed, and for people to stop disregarding complaints and begin helping the community to stand strong together. This petition is a request to cut the rent price of student apartment complexes above the price of $500, at least in half, until life will resume  as it was before.
