In North Carolina, it is called Senate Bill 704 § 90-21.133 other states have their own version of the bill -- this bill was passed on March 10, 2020 ( almost year ago) in the pandemic legislation which gives legal immunity to health care facilities and providers during the pandemic! The increase of deaths across the world, our government thought it would be "best" and LAZY to pass an immunity bill.  Due to this legislation, most North Carolina malpractice/ wrongful death attorneys are not accepting cases related to wrongful death during this time--- even COVID is not the cause of death. 

The first petition had roughly 500 signatures. The first petition focused on the urgent need of retaining an attorney who will take my case. Although, this is no longer the case, justice is still being threaten for million across the world. The second petition will help bring urgent attention to cases being dismissed by judges using the immunity law as an excuse. Basically, the courts will not even read the lawsuit. 

 Our families health and lives are on the line! My mother lost her life to the mistreatment of licensed professional in our healthcare system. From failure to treat a UTI (urinary tract infection) which led to septic shock. One simple "pee test". This is bigger than COVID-19.Our nursing homes and healthcare facilities and staffs are free to mistreat, injure, and kill their residents and patients. Unfortunately, our state government has said, "there is nothing we can do about it".
