Patagonia is a company that prides itself as an environmentally responsible company but if they want to be truly environmentally responsible then they should stop selling animal products. Patagonia's own mission statement claims that they wish to "Build the best product, cause no unnecessary harm, use business to inspire and implement solutions to the environmental crisis". And yet, in regards to the environment and not causing any unnecessary harm, they don't even follow their own mission statement. Raising animals for food or clothing is not environmentally friendly and their products that include animal ingredients cause a great deal of unnecessary harm to animals. Patagonia sells many products that involve cruelty to animals including down, wool, leather, and even meat.  For example, the buffaloes that are used for their jerky are shot in the head. Cleary, being shot in the head is harm. Animals are sentient beings capable of feeling stress, fear and pain and a truly socially responsible company would not harm any animal. Please ask Patagonia to do the right thing by choosing kindness, compassion and true environmentalism and become a cruelty free business that doesn't sell any products made with animal ingredients.  Let Patagonia know you want them to stop selling animal products by signing this petition.
