Thanks to California Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez and eighteen other lawmakers from California, New York, Texas, New Jersey, Illinois, Maryland, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, we are a lot closer to winning this campaign! In addition, New York State Assemblywoman Nily Rozic and New York State Senator Diane J. Savino have introduced legislation in New York that would force all professional sports franchises in the state to provide basic workplace protections to cheerleaders and pay them minimum wage (at least).
