The Philippine currency is modeled after the American currency system wherein former presidents were featured on a banknote.

In some Asian countries such as Singapore, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and others, these countries display only a single person in their currency.

The Singapore dollar, for example, features only one person - Yosof bin Ishak - the first Singapore president. In China, only the image of Mao Zedong is printed in their currency. In Vietnam, their currency is promoting Ho Chi Minh. Banknotes of Thailand feature only their king. The Taiwan dollar notes show General Chiang Kai-shek.

If our country follows this example, only one Filipino deserves to be printed on the Philippine peso note - Gat Jose Rizal.

Let us remove former Philippine presidents and late politicians from the Philippine currency.
