Nerf Astrologist's Scepter.
Nerf Astrologist's Scepter.
The Issue
Astrologist's Scepter/Staff needs to be nerfed. In PVE, it exceeds and overpowers every subclass in terms of DPS, therefore allowing mages to get most of the drops whenever fighting a boss/mob. Comparing a mage to let's say, an assassin in the scenario of fighting Azariah the Blood-crazed. All a mage would need to do is sit back and relax, spamming magic missile/mana stars. The assassin on the other hand would have to go face to face with Azariah, and knowing that most assassins aren't high in HP, Azariah would most likely one shot them. Most mages on the other hand have 2k+ HP, which doesn't make sense in the slightest as mages are the type of class to be far away dealing damage. So even if Azariah came close to a mage, the mage wouldn't die. By the time Azariah would die, more than half the time the mage would get the drops instead of the assassin, which doesn't make sense the assassin is putting in more sweat, blood, and tears fighting Azariah up close, risking their lives for a drop. But no, a mage could simply have their feet up, popcorn on one hand, not even focused on the game, and mashing one key on the other, and get all the drops. Again, I am talking about PVE, not PVP.
Thank you.
