April 14, 2016, was a devastating day for the ROBLOX community, as the currency known as Tickets/Tix were removed from the game, which was obviously a move made so ROBLOX could make more money off of users who wanted to customize their avatar. How was it a money move? Well, before they were removed, users would get ten tickets every day that they logged in, and you could use tickets to buy clothes, hats, gamepasses, and more, with many users not seeing the point in buying robux as you could just save enough tickets after a certain amount of days to get the item you wanted. 10 tickets was the equivalent of about 1 robuck, so shirts that were sold at 10 robux didn't take long to save up for. ROBLOX had a problem with this because they wanted to make more money off of users, so they removed it to force people who wanted to buy clothes, hats, and gamepasses to buy robux. Keep in mind, you could still buy robux and builder's club(now known as premium) if you wanted to, but the only people who bought it were developers, traders, and people who didn't want to wait to save up tickets. This has lead to many unintended consequences, such as people being more vulnerable to hackers/scammers, and an increased amount of bullying. Bringing back tickets will bring more joy to roblox, because people who either don't want to or can't afford robux can still have the enjoyment of buying gamepasses and having much more selection of items to customize their avatar with.
