Adopt Me is known to be the Largest Game ever to be Developed on the Roblox Platform. Being already the Largest Game, they are known to botting (or possibly being botted from haters) which leads to a bunch of services to be connect simultaneously. 

Thus, this creates a delay in the Roblox API services, causing lag for the Whole Community regardless of size or quality. No matter how great your PC might be, the lag will make it's way. Not just the WEBSITE but also the INGAME SERVER LAG
