Every single day, over 25 million land animals are slaughtered for their meat. And this doesn't even include sea animals, who's deaths are so massive, they are measured in metric tons. About 210 animals have already been slaughtered since you read this. It's time to take action. At schools in Broward County, or anywhere for this matter, there aren't enough options to suit vegans and vegetarians. The only suitable every day option, would be a salad. I want the district to recognize that there are students that do not have a variety of options, and may just settle for meat. This would increase the omnivore population, and more animals would continue to suffer. A change has to happen now, for there to be more vegan/vegetarian meals on the menu for everyone to enjoy. This would decrease the number of animals being killed for their meat, and increase the amount of vegans and vegetarians to benefit our planet.
