At this moment, the U.K. is experiencing one of it's worst periods.  At least in my memory, and I don't think it will improve for a while.

Businesses are closed, jobs have been lost; mainly in the hospitality and entertainment sectors.  Kent has been very badly affected as well.

This is why I feel The London Resort is vital to the U.K. and Kent.  It will create 6000 jobs for the construction phase, and a vast number of jobs from all over the world in the Resort itself once open.

The London Resort will be vital for tourism in Kent, attract people travelling from London, and have somewhere that people from outside the U.K. will (hopefully) flock to.  It will be a very green project as well, transporting materials along the River Thames.  

I'm setting up this petition in response to a small minority of people who are against the Resort.  Whilst I sympathise with their point of view, I feel that they are not looking at the bigger picture; given that the Resort has done a very big environmental study.  

The fact that they would relocate the wildlife to the areas dedicated to preserving them is a major factor.  The Resort would like to have vast areas to walk around, to look at the birds and wildlife.

Therefore I want to get people who want the Resort to happen involved.   There are a lot.

Kent needs the London Resort.  The U.K. needs the London Resort. It will be somewhere people will want to visit.
