Road to Empress 2, if possible (!), please release a DLC with Li Tai’s initial storyline
The Issue
The release of Road to Empress 2 has been a significant event for many fans who have been eagerly waiting to explore the intricate paths and stories within the game. However, a large number of players were left bewildered and disappointed by the current ending of Li Tai's storyline. As a fan, I, and many others, admired Li Tai and his relationship with Wu Yuanzhao’s character and were devastated by his ending.
Road to Empress 2 was marketed in such a way that players were led to believe that Li Tai’s path would be a proper one, as canon as Li Zhi’s one, though completely fictional and differing from history. Yet, the current storyline, which ends with his untimely death, has left many of us feeling betrayed and frustrated. This deviation from the expected storyline has sparked a considerable outcry within the community. There was also a leak of the original script which contained happy ending for Li Tai and Wu Yuanzhao, which leads us to believe that there is an opportunity to release the original storyline.
We understand the challenges developers face in balancing narrative and player expectations, but holding true to the original script, understanding the fans and providing a more satisfying conclusion for Li Tai's path through a downloadable content (DLC) could resolve this issue. Players deserve an opportunity to experience Li Tai's journey in a way that aligns with the game's original promise.
Therefore, we are asking the developers to, if possible (!), release a DLC for Road to Empress 2 that follows the original script without resorting to Li Tai's death as a canon ending.
By rectifying this ending, not only will the game’s integrity be preserved, but it will also ensure a satisfied and engaged fan community. Let’s show our support to amend this crucial aspect of the game. Sign this petition to urge the developers to listen to their community and ask for changes to Li Tai’s story.
