Drivers whose vehicles sustained damage and needed repair after hitting a pothole in Georgia increased nearly 60% compared to last year

According to the American Automobile Association (AAA), pothole damage costs U.S. drivers approximately $3 billion annually. In fact, the average repair cost for pothole-related damages is $306 per vehicle. This is unacceptable and something needs to be done about it.

Potholes not only cause financial burdens for individuals, but they also pose safety risks for drivers and pedestrians alike. They can cause accidents, damage tires and suspension systems, and even lead to injuries.

As residents of Atlanta, we deserve better roads that are safe to drive on without fear of damaging our vehicles or risking our safety.

We urge the Pothole maintenance department in Atlanta to take immediate action in repairing these hazardous road conditions before more people suffer from costly repairs or worse yet - accidents.
