This tragedy underscores a critical gap in our current legislative framework regarding cyber bullying, especially on social media platforms like TikTok. Incidents like these are disturbingly common, where vulnerable users find themselves at the mercy of merciless bullies without significant legal recourse to protect them.

We are calling for the urgent strengthening of cyber bullying laws, specifically tailored to address the pervasive nature of online harassment on platforms like TikTok. It's crucial to establish stringent legal repercussions for those who engage in such abusive behavior online, to deter potential bullies, and to protect vulnerable individuals from suffering mental and emotional harm.
