On Easter Sunday, 4/12/20, a video showing a small white dog being run over multiple times made its way around social media. The video starts with the dog laying in the middle of the street, then a black Mercedes reversing over the dog, then proceeding to drive forward over the dog once more, resulting in the dogs death. The Riverside county sheriffs department opened and “investigation” into the matter, as did Riverside Animal Services. Their reports stated that this was all an accident and misunderstanding. NO. THIS WAS NOT A MISUNDERSTANDING. HOW DO MULTIPLE PEOPLE SEE A DOG BEING RAN OVER AND NOT STOP THE CAR? NOT BRING THE DOG OUT OF THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD? HOW DOES ITS OWNER NOT DO ANYTHING? HOW DOES THIS CAR JUST DRIVE OFF? HOW DO THESE WITNESSES ALL JUST WALK AWAY LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED?  ANIMAL CRUELTY IS A FELONY WHETHER INCIDENTAL OR NOT. HOLD RIVERSIDE SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBLE IN HANDLING THESE TYPES OF CASES. THEY MADE SURE A HELICOPTER WAS SHINING A LIGHT OVER MT RUBIDOUX FOR EASTER BUT CANT PUT IN THE EFFORT TO DEMAND JUSTICE FOR THIS PUP.
