Manuel Perez, our Riverside County supervisor, and Riverside County are planning on closing Blythe's Animal Shelter again.

The Coachella Valley Animal Campus in Thousand Palms is 110 miles from Blythe. That is almost a two-hour drive. We already have growing homeless issues because we have no place for homeless people. If the animal shelter closes, we will have a growing homeless pet problem too.

You can't just go 10-20 miles to an animal shelter in the next city as many in Riverside County can. This closing will create another vacant building (next to the freeway), is cruel to the animals (fewer adoptions, more strays), and lost jobs for Blythe. This is not just Blythe abuse; it's animal abuse.

What can you do? They are voting this Monday!

1.  Share this with every person you can right now and ask them to do the same as soon as possible.
