Beyond being academically engaged and challenged, children require personal connections with friends, staff, and their community. We are not meant to be ”connected but apart”. The social and emotional well-being of this generation hinges upon the decisions that make moving forward from the COVID-19 Pandemic. All CURRENT research and data should be thoroughly evaluated and considered when we seek to change the future of education so drastically. 

Face Masks and staying 6 Feet Apart are not based on ANY scientific evidence and has no place on any school campus. No effort has been made by the Governor or regional health authorities to overturn the established science published in JAMA that facemasks should not be worn by healthy individuals.

Social distancing that involves the confinement of healthy individuals has neither been tested nor validated with any science whatsoever. Our students deserve an in-person education. 

Children and families that are immune compromised  should have a distance learning option available. Many established and proven programs already exist in Riverside County through accredited charter school programs.
