Richard Branson is the major shareholder in Virgin Atlantic and is asking the Uk gov to give him 500 million to prop up Virgin Atlantic. Virgin Atlantic doesn’t pay tax in the Uk and Richard Branson’s wealth is reportedly around 4 Billion Dollars. If we work out the bailout it would mean each tax paying person in th Uk is giving around £20 towards the bailout. Personally I can think of better ways to spend the tax payers money. Like the NHS?
